The WTTC report entitled ‘Inclusive & Accessible Travel Guidelines’, stresses the importance of accessible travel for individuals with disabilities. The report outlines four key pillars: Developing inclusive systems, Creating safe spaces, Designing engaging systems and Exemplifying inclusion.

Key recommendations include providing detailed accessibility information, training staff, and incorporating feedback from travellers with disabilities. Businesses are encouraged to adopt long-term accessibility visions, collaborate with stakeholders and champion accessibility in the travel industry.

The guidelines highlight the social and financial benefits of supporting accessible travel, noting that improved accessibility can attract a broader customer base and enhance overall travel experiences.
