Report details

This case study by WTTC and The School of Public Health, Harvard, investigates how The Travel Corporation (TTC) has integrated sustainability into its business through the TreadRight Foundation.

Established in 2008, TreadRight supports sustainable tourism initiatives. TTC's sustainability strategy, ‘How We Tread Right,’ launched in 2020, aligns with 11of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This strategy addresses climate change, animal welfare and diversity, and aims for carbon neutrality by 2030. The study looks at the ‘Make Travel Matter’ initiative which ensures that at least 50% of TTC's itineraries include experiences contributing to the SDGs.

The report shows how TTC's leadership in sustainability demonstrates how travel companies can balance profitability with environmental and social responsibility, driving both operational success and positive global impact.
