This report from WTTC, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Coraggio Group, Miles Partnership, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, analyses the shifting employment landscape within Travel & Tourism.  


Key elements of the report include:

  • The challenges facing Travel & Tourism businesses now and in the coming decade, for example relating to labour supply shortages
  • Trends such as changing working patterns and the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence and other technology, and sustainability
  • The skillsets that are needed most and will increase in importance over the next 10 years at every tier of the Travel & Tourism sector, from executive level to operational and customer-facing roles
  • Recommendations to support Travel & Tourism businesses, as well as governments and education institutions, in attracting, training and retaining our sector’s workforce over the coming decades.


WTTC’s wide-ranging research for this report includes:
